28th International Hamster Workgroup Meeting, 2021

Since 1994, the International Hamster Workgroup has met annually to promote scientific and conservation exchange on wild hamster species. The Common hamster (Cricetus cricetus) has often been the focus of these meetings. Currently, the fact that it has been classified as „threatened with extinction“ worldwide in 2020 is the reason to pay special attention to this species.
